Information

The Wuyi Mountains are a mountain range located at the prefecture Nanping, at the northern border of Fujian (Hok-kian) province with Jiangxi province, China. The Wuyi mountains cover an area of 60 km². In 1999, Mount Wuyi entered UNESCO's list of World Heritage Sites, both natural and cultural. It is the most outstanding biodiversity conservation zone of Southeast China. The Wuyi Mountains are the largest and most representative example of Chinese subtropical forests and South Chinese rainforests' biodiversity.

Getting There & Away

There are trains, overnight from Xiamen and several hours from Fuzhou.

Wu Yi Mountain has an airport with regular flights to major Chinese cities.

Wuyi Mountain Villa

The Wuyi Mountain Villa (Wuyi shanzhuang) is located at the foot of Dawang Feng, about 12 kilometers from the railway station and 7 kilometers from the airport.

On offer are 150 guestrooms and suites in a variety of styles, including a presidential suite. Facilities include air conditioning, TVs, international direct dial phones and mini bars. For recreation, there is a karaoke, a tea house, a sauna and an outdoor swimming pool.

Within the hotel there are both Chinese and Western restaurants. Further facilities include meeting rooms and a business center for those who haven't the luxury of choosing to do "no work and all play." There is also a ticket reservation center.
